hmm.. long time since i've blogged here.. well, the new semester's started again.. and along with it, the difficult tutorials, the boring lectures, the hot walks to lessons, the comtemplation every morning whether or not to go for lessons, etc etc...
well, some things have changed this time though.. my bio clock for one! haha.. like finally.. it's been a long time since i have been waking up at 9am.. and it's been a long time since i've gone to a 8:30 lecture.. haha.. so yups.. be very impressed! anyways, for those who really know Justus Gan, you will know that this doesnt usually last long.. haha.. so pple who are in the same lecture grp as me.. you know who you are.. pls do your job of nagging and nagging and nagging if you start seeing me miss too many lectuers. haha..
and of course.. i am a lot more broke (for the moment) this time.. so yar, thought i should probably start working, or at least earn some money.. therefore... i have a proper income now! though it's not alot.. but it's a start.. and it's gonna get much much much much much much MORE! hahaha... okayy.. i'm feeling so much more better already...
anyways.. really hope this new year would be a better and more accomplishing year than the last.. and of course, that certain things in my life, would finally work out for once..

6 am on the 2nd day of 2007.. cant believe time passes that quickly.. seems like it was only yesterday i was sitting on this wooden chair in front of 40 other people while my head was being shaved... thn in a blink of an eye, i got freed.. thn i got into NTU and got to know loads of great people..
it's that time of the year again where you look back at the whole year that just past, the events that took place, the wrong decisions that you wished you hadnt made, the right ones that you were glad you made.. and you think about the great opportunities that lay out in front of you the coming year.. resolutions.. not my cup of tea. coz people seldom keep resolutions.. they are just self assuring statements made to make people feel better.. instead, i shall just think back on the past 365 days, and give them one final encore in my mind before moving on..
January - the start of the year, was the birthday of this blog.. haha.. till now i can still remember the reason i started this blog.. on the first day of CNY...
then was all the rushing around and meeting up for the organisation of cheerobics... sort of missed those days.. working hand in hand with my beloved main committee.. staying up the whole night at my chief programmer's hall just to finish typing the invitations for the VIPs etc etc.. making the countless trips down to the event venue to make sure everything's all right. and of course, the staying over the previous night to set up the venue for the next day.
those days i were in the exco.. i wouldnt say it was a pleasent experience.. but it was definately enriching.. and the concerts and PR-ing with the VIPS.. i can still feel my face aching from all the smiling.. of course, the looooooooong late late late late late night exco meetings at SAC... always ending wayyy past midnight.. and the supper sessions after that..
Febuary - was v-day.. and for a month i thought that the best thing in my life was going to come to pass... ok fines.. it didnt take place.. so yar.. whatever... not gonna talk about it...
March - my big event.. CHEEROBICS 2006!!! THAT i tell you, was the most fulfuiling point of my ENTIRE life to date! to see the thousands of people crowding around your stage. the hordes of people being entertained. the deafening applause after each performance. the hyped up voice of the emcee through the speakers. the smiles and screams of the winners. the tears and comforting pats of those who did not make it. the impressed handshake from your Guest of Honour telling you what a great job you have done. the great big hug from your vice chair after the whole event. the pats on your back from your committee. the many reporters trying to get a hold of you for an interview. the crazy photo taking session on the stage after the event. the people from big associations approaching you to pass them their namecards asking you to contact them. the sending off of the guest team and their thanks for inviting them. the wrapping up and keeping in contact with each other even after the event. all these made me realise.. that even though things might seem bleak and hopeless at times.. but always keep the end in mind, strive hard.. and one day, you will just reap all that you have sowed...
April/May - after that, my focus in life was sort of unbalanced.. was feeling very lost then.. the 2 most important things in my life before suddenly lost all meaning to me.. cheerobics... and you... depression? haha.. not really.. but the examination period really felt like hell to me... but well, all that's over now =b
June - then was the holidays.. things started looking better.. although my results werent exactly colourful, but they were still aCCeptable for my standards.. went to work, and i got to know a few great people there... work also helped kept my mind off things for a while.
July - the month of fun. Ventura and Hall 1 FOC camp... got to know lots of new friends.. Ahtna and Simpson freshies! thanks for all the fun you all have given me. also the month of new commitments and challanges.. and a month of disappointment...

September - the dream month.. where dream comes true.. The steamboat celebration.. i will never forget the time we had together preparing the steamboat.. Also the travelling month... The Europe Trip.. lots of happy memories i had there.. the emails that ensured that i felt homesick the whole time i was there! thanks ley... of course.. i will never forget the breath taking swiss alps.. the quiet peaceful swiss towns.. the beautiful countrysides of germany and their unforgettable black forest cake.. the red light district of holland and the cute aunties holding on to their uncles with their lives.. warm belgium and their heavenly waffles.. france, pretty pretty paris. the city of love, and her never ending array of beautiful limestone buildings.. and of course, England. london and westminister. the city where the sunlight rarely shines upon directly.. also my shopping heaven...
Then was the Genting Trip.. the long bus ride.. the horrible cuttlefish.. the '5 star' bus without personal tv and massage chair.. the hilariously stupid videos we took.. the funny mirrors.. scary horror house.. interesting exhibits.. the 'once you start you cant stop' rides.. the long cold quiet cable car ride.. the non stop daidee action.. the funny canto movie.. the funny face gorilla band.. the 'tang san zhang' donkey.. the freezing nightmare ferris wheel.. the wet wet spinner ride.. the never ending bumper cars.. and the 'cant get enough of everyone' chomp chomp supper...

just came back from deathnote 2.. great movie as expected.. first time watching at vivo.. and i must say, their seats are REALLY uncomfortable.. my neck was still hurting long after the movie.. oh, and there's this really cool ship docked at vivo you all gotta go see.. it's one of those medieval ships you see in movies like pirates of the carribean.. and it's a REAL ship with sails and masts. it's currently charting an old trade route across the oceans and they're stopping by in singapore for 2 weeks, to earn a little bit of cash by allowing people to go abroad their ship for viewing.. so yar peeps, if you're interested... just FYI
well.. that's about the whole of my 2006.. i can safely say that i have seen more of the moon than the sun this past year.. so much so i think i have accquired perfect night vision.. hah.. alas.. it's time to say goodbye and welcome the new year!!! really hope that this year would by much fulfilling.. and of course, may my wish (i'm not greedy) come true :O)
